Episode 8

She added that strange things were just happening in the town with regards to Mr Mensah and his family. We shall all receive our rewards on this earth before dying. So let's be extra cautious about what we do today. Repenting tomorrow might be too late. I wish Mr Mensah had that opportunity to repent from his evil doings before dying. I called the pastor and asked him if I was free to go see my mother. He gave me the go-ahead but cautioned me to be very careful. My husband wished to go with me but due to his work, he said he would follow a fortnight after my departure. I clothed myself black because I was mourning my late father. As soon as I got to the town, almost everybody was happy to see me. The welcome address was all about how my mother got healed of her blindness. I told them it was the work of God. Then I told those around me that, as many as put their trust in God and allows Him to take control over all the problems in their lives, He(God) will always make them victorious. Because God's ear are not too far to hear our calls neither are his hands too short to save us. All we need is to believe. Some of them followed me to the house. I was more than a celebrity that day. My mother was very happy to see me. He shed what we call tears of joy. As we were celebrating the healing miracle of my mother, a news came from the town that Mr mensah's house including his shrine has been destroyed by fire to the extent that the fire destroyed all his properties. Because there was no fire service station near us, everything burnt into ashes. We were surprised and worried about the news. 'How did it happen?" I asked. They said no one knew the cause of the fire. Little did we know that he was behind our calamities. We went to his place to see things for ourselves. My mother saw everything with her eyes. Because all his children had left to seek greener pastures from the city, they decided to come and see their father and the destroyed properties. On their way, three days after the incident, we heard that they were involved in a lorry accident and Datsomor who happened to be driving them died on the spot(what a pity). The other three sustained high grade injuries. Their mother died when I was very young that was why he used to behave towards my mother like that. People thought I was the person who went to bewitch them at where I went to because since I left the town according to the folks in the community, they had many challenges and adding to that, my mother regained her sight and then Mr Mensah also started behaving strangely. I told them that I didn't do anything. All I did was to pray for my mother and asked God for a baby and then also attended an all-night service at Kumasi where my husband works. It was after that all-night that my mother regained her sight. I narrated everything to them before they in a way believed I didn't bewitch them. Datsomor was dead, the other three children of Mr Mensah were also hospitalized and now their father himself was taken to the hospital for an alleged mental health problem. If God decides to strike, he leaves no stone unturned. My mother and I went to meet my father's family members and officially informed them about the death of my father. They arranged for the funeral. I also phoned my husband to inform him about the developments in the town. He was also not happy to hear them because they were not appealing to the ear. He said the community was full with evil doers. My husband after work on the said Friday came to the town. As usual the chaotic atmosphere was still in full swing when he came. That night we actually enjoyed ourselves. That was the very first time my husband with his own strength satisfied me to the extent that my libido had to reach it's pinnacle . He asked that we should go and visit Mr Mensah at the hospital and after that visit his children too. He proposed that on Saturday dawn after refreshing our love. The good news was that my husband could perform without the use of any drug. I began to enjoy my relationship. As we got to Mr Mensah at the hospital, he was chained to prevent him from running away. When he saw us, he started shouting, "I killed your baby! I killed your baby!!!" That was where my attention drew back to what I saw in the kitchen. No one understood what he was saying. We asked the doctor what Mr Mensah's was diagnosed with and he said schizophrenia. Hmmm! There was nothing much to say. We couldn't visit his children that very day because we learned they were discharged and were in the town. The issue is that they had two houses so they were in the second one that they rent out to people. On Sunday, my mother, my husband and myself went to church ( Musama Disco Christo Church Int'l ) to thank God for my mother life. We also prayed for the Mensah family(the bible enjoins us to pray for our enemies) . At the church service, the pastor preached about forgiveness of sin that day. He said we should learn how to forgive our enemies and pray for them. After the service, the pastor and some members decided to pay the family a visit. We also followed them. It was there that the whole truth about the matter was revealed.
We need to still pray for our enemies. Do good to them but never let them overcome you.
