Life on Campus final episode

Life on Campus 🏤

Episode 10

I even thought the would has come an end. Quickly Esinam got closer to me and asked what the problem was. I turned deaf and dumb instantly. She became worried and asked the waiter  who caught me what the problem was. I heard the waiter asking Esinam that who i was to her. She said I was her boyfriend. "Saaa! " the waiter responded. She added "Then you must be prepared to visit your ancestors soon because I saw that guy putting something into your food and that's making everyone's attention to be shifted to him. He actually poisoned your food . " Before I could turn myself to say it was not true,  two security men at the place came to arrest me. Esinam has just lost control over herself. She could not believe what was happening. She became stiff standing at one place and could not move. She was extremely surprised at what she heard. The security men took me to the cape coast district police station for questioning. In fact I received what we actually call torture from the police. They asked me to tell them what I put into the food but I refused letting the truth out. After some more torture, I revealed that it was for abortion and not a poison. In some few minutes,  Esinam and some staff including the waiter came to the police station to write their statement.  As soon as Esinam set her eyes on me in the custody of the police full with bumps and blood all over my face,  she began to cry. She came to me and asked me what I did. I told her it was the work of the devil. "So the devil asked you to kill me right? " she asked. I told her it was not what she was thinking. I realized she was becoming angry so I told her I was not planning to kill her but the medicine was to make her abort the pregnancy but not to harm her. Before I could even finish my sentence, Esinam was now shouting on top of her  voice crying drawing the attention of the police. By then I was inside the cell as she was standing outside. I couldn't just sit down because the cell was smelling with urine and 😲. My freind I won't recommend that place for you because hmmm let me just stop there because it's an eye saw.  I was then called upon to come and write my statement. After the statement, I asked one of the female police to help call my parents for me. She called using the police office line. She made me to speak with my dad and that was where I told my dad where I was. My Dad told me he will come the next two days because he was out of town. Ei! Which would mean I must sleep in that cell for two days. Esinam was very Sorry for me. She wished she had her own way of letting the police release me but the police told her she was not the one who brought me there so they can't allow me go . Esinam said she couldn't leave me alone there but eventually she left to campus. That night I couldn't sleep. There were three other guys in the cell where I was. One of them said he was the captain and wanted to bully me. I tried stopping him but the other two guys joined him to beat me up. I needed to obey whatever they would say. i stood for the whole night because i   could not just afford sitting in that urine filled cell. Early morning the next day, they made me to take the bucket of urine out but with a police escort. Soon Esinam brought some food to   me that morning. She stayed at the police station for sometime before leaving. Some friends came to visit me too. My head of department also came. I told him I didn't do what I was accused of. That night, because I could not stand again, I sat on the floor till morning. In the afternoon of that day my dad came around with my HOD to grant me bail. My dad was made to pay Ghc5,000.00 or they will process me for court. My dad payed and I was made to go but a strong warning was given to me. After we left the station,my Dad asked me about what happened and there I  told him the whole truth. She became angry with me and said I should try my best to take care of the pregnant lady and the possible baby. He apologized to Esinam and told her that they will take Care of the child. Before my dad left. He gave Esinam Ghc 50.00 without giving me anything . After my Dad left, I knelt down before Esinam and pleaded her to  forgive me. It was a hard thing for her to do but as I said ladies would continue to be ladies with that soft heart . She called for a warm hug which led to a holy kiss. She let go the pain in her heart.  Fred never visited me when I was in  the cell. He actually left the campus the next moment after the incident.  Esinam said she informed her parents too about it and her mother promised coming to the campus the following day. Now it became clear that I must plan of how I will become a father. Her mother came and I met her. She said I must follow her to their house on her return. I went and introduced myself to the family. Esinam also went with us. Esinam gave birth to a baby boy during our level 200. She needed to deferred that semester in other to see to the development of the  baby. I must say our parents helped in providing some support to us. We named the baby Quist. He is now in pre-school doing very well. I thanked God I didn't kill him. Quiet is actually a blessing to us. I graduated with lower two years ago but Esinam because she deferred, graduated with an upper last year. We are planning of marriage after her national service. I must admit that we still love each other. I am now teaching at some private secondary school in the eastern region. Krobo girls. This students are just giving me pressure. I don't know how to close close my zip.  I pray I don't clear any of the students.
